Restore
Amanda called because fixing was still possible. We make sure it always is — repair first, always, before replacement is ever considered.
Rejesha gives every device a second life — making affordable, refurbished tech “good enough” for every family, school and business. Save money. Save the earth’s resources.
In Nairobi, that “somewhere” is often Dandora.
Broken laptops and phones are rarely useless — they are simply un-repaired. When families can’t afford new devices and repairs feel out of reach, working technology becomes waste: burned in open fires, buried in landfill, or shipped away to be mined apart.
We think that story can change. It starts with one call to repair what’s broken instead of throwing it away.
Every device we restore avoids new manufacturing, reduces landfill, and cuts the mining of rare earth minerals — while keeping a working machine in the hands of someone who needs it.
Amanda called because fixing was still possible. We make sure it always is — repair first, always, before replacement is ever considered.
She called us — so we stay where people already are: the church, the school, the estate. We grow green jobs and plant trees as we go.
She never had to wonder what she was paying for. The Rejesha app tracks it — every kilo, every shilling, tracked and shown, not just promised.
Simple, transparent, and built around where you already are.
Bring your broken device to one of our partner hubs at a church or school, or contact us directly. Looking for a device? Browse our affordable refurbished stock.
Our technicians at the Nairobi hub triage, price fairly, and expertly repair your device. What can’t be saved goes to licensed recyclers — never a backyard fire.
Get your device back working like new, or buy certified refurbished with pay-as-you-go financing through BIMAS Kenya Limited.
When the laptops broke, buying new wasn’t an option. I called Rejesha. They not only fixed them — they gave me hope. They understand what families need.Amanda · Mother of three, Nairobi
Whether you have a broken device or need a reliable one, you’re already part of the solution.
It’s the name we gave the business that grew out of a single phone call in 2021 — and the promise behind everything we do.
Nairobi, 2021. COVID had just sent every child home from school. Amanda, a single mother of three, needed three laptops and had one income.
She found refurbished ex-UK laptops — affordable, good enough — and bought three. That’s the future we’re building toward: a world where repaired and refurbished are “good enough” for every Amanda, in every home, church, school and business.
Within a year, all three laptops came back broken. Kids are kids. Amanda didn’t buy new — she called.
That call is our mission, scaled: restore what’s broken, and build the trust that makes people call back instead of throwing away.
Swahili for “to restore.”
Repair for re-use. Repair to save. Repair to reduce landfill and mining.
Week after week, more parents came back — not just needing work-from-home laptops, but broken devices needing reviving for school use.
Quietly, it became a business. We gave it a name that covered what we actually do: Rejesha.
Coordinators at churches and schools log devices through the Rejesha app. Everything is triaged, priced fairly, repaired and sold affordably — including through pay-as-you-go financing.
An estimated 140 tonnes of CO₂e avoided. Amanda still calls — so do her kids, now old enough to own devices of their own.
Coordinators log what comes in and get paid. Every kilo and every shilling is tracked and shown.
Devices are triaged at our Nairobi hub, priced fairly, repaired, and sold on affordably.
Pay-as-you-go financing reaching women and youth across 40 branches in 18 counties.
Rejesha is a subsidiary of Hamjambo that sells ICT solutions. It’s the same conviction behind everything Hamjambo builds — Rejesha is that promise, kept one repaired device at a time.
We’re building toward a Kenya where repaired and refurbished are the obvious first choice — for every home, church, school and business. Where saving money and saving the earth’s resources are the same decision.
And when a device truly can’t be saved, we work with Kenya’s licensed recyclers. Not a backyard fire. Ever.
See our impactWhether you’re a family with one broken laptop or a company with a hundred, here’s how Rejesha works.
Bring your device to a partner hub or contact us directly. We’ll triage it, quote you honestly, and only proceed once you say yes.
Every device we sell has been triaged, repaired, tested and priced fairly. Good enough — and then some.
A coordinator at a church or school logs the device into the Rejesha app. Every kilo counted.
At the Nairobi hub we assess what’s fixable, what it needs, and what it’s honestly worth.
Our technicians restore it — or, if it truly can’t be saved, route it to a licensed recycler.
Back to you, or sold on affordably to someone who needs it. Nothing wasted.
Before you write off a fleet of laptops, let us triage it. We handle bulk repairs, refurbishment and responsible end-of-life recycling — with documentation you can put straight into your ESG report.
When a device can’t be repaired, it goes to one of Kenya’s licensed recyclers. We don’t burn, dump, or hand e-waste to informal operators.
That’s the difference between recycling and just moving the problem.
Every kilo, every shilling — tracked and shown, not just promised.
Coordinators at churches and schools use the app to log what comes in and get paid. We use it to measure our real impact, device by device, so we can report it honestly.
Become a coordinatorWe track every device, every kilo and every shilling — because a promise you can’t measure isn’t worth much.
Every device we repair is a device that doesn’t need to be manufactured from scratch — and doesn’t end up in landfill or an open burn. That avoided manufacturing is where most of the carbon saving comes from.
We measure it per device, aggregate it, and publish it. No estimates dressed up as facts.
Devices kept in use instead of dumped — and routed to licensed recyclers only when truly unsalvageable.
Fewer new devices means less demand for the rare minerals extracted at great human and environmental cost.
Zero tolerance for backyard burning. Every dead device goes to a licensed Kenyan recycler.
Technicians at the Nairobi hub and coordinators in churches and schools earn income from work that keeps devices alive.
When Amanda’s laptops broke, buying new wasn’t an option. A repair kept three children learning.
Pay-as-you-go financing with BIMAS Kenya Limited reaches women and youth across 40 branches in 18 counties.
That’s our goal by 2026 — and we’ll publish the receipts either way. Every device, every kilo, every shilling.
Rejesha works because churches, schools, financiers and recyclers work with us. Here’s how to join in.
You already have the trust and the foot traffic. Become an official Rejesha hub and give your community a place to bring broken devices.
Turn your decommissioned IT fleet into measurable social and environmental impact — with the paperwork to prove it.
If you’re a licensed e-waste recycler in Kenya, we’d like to talk. When a device can’t be saved, it should end up with you — never in a backyard fire.
Recycle with usOur pay-as-you-go financing with BIMAS Kenya Limited is what makes refurbished devices reachable for women and youth. If you’re a lender who shares that goal, let’s talk.
